Bending Tree places great value on its students and wishes to encourage active participation in the various class offerings available. To demonstrate our commitment to this goal and to help mitigate the expense involved in taking multiple classes, we have established two membership levels.
Please note that one does not have to have a membership to enroll in classes. Students may continue to register and take classes through the normal enrollment process and pay the applicable class fees on the current "pay as you go" basis.
Annual Membership
Open to Graduates only
Annual Membership is available to graduates of either the Nam Hoa Tai Chi/Qigong or Tai Chi for Health programs. Membership runs for one year from the effective date and entitles the student to elect one primary class (by class date/time) and one or more secondary classes for that year in either the Nam Hoa or Tai Chi for Health programs. The one primary class can be any form for which the student is eligible (based on the usual prerequisites such as order of forms), i.e., either the next form in the system, or repeating of a form already completed. Every effort will be made to ensure that each Annual member has a place in the primary class of his or her choice. Any and all secondary classes elected must be at a level below the primary class and are offered on a space available basis only.
The cost for this Annual Membership is $350 per student. The membership policy is subject to review and revision annually. The Annual Membership does not include access to classes outside the stated programs, special intensives or seminars (including High Inner Chi and Master’s Retreat), or any other events which may be held throughout the year.
A student may purchase an Annual Membership by means of a personal check made payable to Bending Tree, or by credit card at the Center. Checks should be given to the Class Coordinator or Instructor, or mailed to the Bending Tree Center. Partial payments are not acceptable.
Upon receipt of payment, Bending Tree will issue an annual membership card on which the member will indicate their primary class choice for the year. This election will remain in force for 12 months from the date of issue of the card and will entitle the student access to the primary class and any other lower level secondary class for the duration of the annual membership.
Lifetime Membership
Open to Graduates only
Note: At this time, we are not offering any Lifetime Memberships. We will send out a notification to graduates when the membership drive reopens.
Lifetime Membership is available to graduates of either the Nam Hoa Tai Chi/Qigong or Tai Chi for Health programs. Membership, once issued, is valid for as long as the Bending Tree organization is viable. The Lifetime Membership entitles the student to take any formal class offered by the organization (subject to the usual prerequisites such as order of forms), including the Nam Hoa and Tai Chi for Health classes, the Supplemental and Advanced classes, the Chi Development classes, and the Meditation Classes (all space available). The Lifetime Membership also entitles the student to membership in the Chi Club, the Wellness Club, and the Meditation Club.
The one-time cost for this membership is $1500 for individuals and $2500 for couples. The membership policy is subject to review and revision annually. The Lifetime Membership does not include special intensives or seminars (including High Inner Chi and Master’s Retreat), or any other events which may be held throughout the year.
A student may purchase a Lifetime Membership by means of a personal check made payable to Bending Tree, or by credit card at the Center, or through PayPal on our web site. Checks should be given to the Class Coordinator or Instructor, or mailed to the Bending Tree Center. Payment can be made in up to three installments over a 3 month period.
Upon receipt of full payment, Bending Tree will issue a lifetime membership card, entitling the student access to the classes and clubs as specified by the current policy.
