Bending Tree continues to evaluate and balance the needs of the student with the needs of the organization, and really they are one in the same. We place great value on our students and wish to encourage active participation in the various class offerings available. We have revised our annual membership policy to continue to provide a significant discount to the student, while at the same time addressing the expenses of instructor fees, site fees, and general costs of maintaining the organization. We think you will find our new membership offering to be a truly great value. New this year is that we offering two versions of annual membership to all students, regardless of graduation status. This means that students learning a form for the first time are eligible for membership.

Please note that one does not have to have a membership to enroll in classes. Students may continue to register and take classes through the normal enrollment process and pay the applicable class fees on the current "pay as you go" basis.

Annual Membership

Tier 1 Membership – the Tier 1 Membership is available to all Bending Tree students. It runs for one year from the effective date and entitles the student to two hours of classroom instruction per week for that year. A student may attend any class for which he or she is eligible, based on the usual prerequisites such as order of forms. [In the tradition of the ancient way, advancement within the forms must be approved by the Senior Instructor.] All classes are offered on a space-available basis only. Every effort will be made to offer a sufficiently wide selection of classes to meet the needs of our students. The cost for the Tier 1 Membership is $675 per student. The Membership Policy is subject to review and revision annually. The Tier 1 Membership does not include access to classes outside the normal classroom programs, such as special intensives or seminars (including High Inner Chi and Master’s Retreat), or any other events which may be held throughout the year.
